Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th 1968) is an American actress known for her role as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.



 



 Early life



 Carlson was raised in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson, her father being an educator. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinois] close to Chicago). She is of Swedish origin and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: College , and early career



 She first came to Hollywood through her work as a background character in the film Lucas with Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim as well as Winona Ryder. She then followed her elder sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.

It was her first Latina woman to create and produce, write, and star in her own US primetime comedy.    Early life  Alonzo was born in San Juan, Texas. He is the youngest of four children. His mother Natalia Gonzalez worked double shifts at an Mexican restaurant for more than 20 years and his father Adalberto Alonzo were both Mexican.
